Vermicomposting – Rental (British Columbia)

What is food waste collection? What happens with the contents of those mysterious brown composting bins? This is what we encourage you to discover with our 2-month rental of a vermicompost bin, with amazing earthworms included. Rental includes delivery of the bin, 1 kg of red earthworms, material installation and a 30-minute training session on how to use vermicompost. You will be pleasantly surprised by the lack of bad smells! Reduce your waste by producing soil enriched with minerals. What a great way to value the environment!
Objectives:
- Understand how organic soil is produced.
- Differentiate between vermicomposting and composting.
- Describe the steps for proper vermicomposting.

- The equipment must be cleaned before the science animator arrives on the scheduled date; otherwise, a fee of $25 plus taxes will be charged.
